Grown up online

During last class, we watched a movie as a class that talked about people mostly children, that have grown up online. We only watched the first 10 minutes of the video, but a lot had happened. For example the video showed us some videos of children that did nothing in their life, other than sitting the whole time in front of their computers; wither they are on msn, face book, myspace and so on...

One of the videos showed how one 15-16 year old boy, did nothing other than sitting in front of his computer. His father was complaining, as he never sat or even communicated with his father in any sort of way. This is what the video had showed in the first ten minutes of it.

Becoming a responsible citizen while using technology

How can I become a responsible citizen when using technology?

I can become a responsible citizen when using technology by using for example the internet only for useful stuff. For example we can search information that we want to know about on Google.com, and we can also use the internet to buy and sell things. For example we might find a car for sale on the internet for a cheaper price, so that would be better. We can buy plane tickets through the internet, and that makes it much easier on all of us.

How can I make others in my community aware of the importance of being a conscientious digital citizen and behaving appropriately when using technology and online resources?

I can teach them how to use the internet, and i can also show them what to use, and what sites to use. We can make programs on the internet, that would help new people to know and learn more about the world. As he internet is world-wide.

Review of "Hend Darwish" of Portfolio

Hend Darwish had a cool video about her on her home page. It was a video about her, and 2 of her friends in school. Her site was "Hendarwish.wikispaces.com". Hend did not have many colors in nher whole page, other than grey, white abd black. I think she could have added abit more color to make it attractive to people visiting her wikispace. Although hend had many pictures of many things, such as pictures of her and her family members, pictures of cosmetics. Hend had a good amount of navigations. She had these following ones:

All of these had many links in them, that linked me to like for example a timetable of Hends schedule in school, and she also added other links.

Hend had seven subjects that she talked about, other than the other links she had, such as pictures, and Community & Service. Each subject links to what she has written in about her subject, so for example, when i pressed on science it linked to essays that she had done in science etc... I really liked the idea Hend has layed out her Digital Portfolio. So in general i think she has done very good, and i hope she gets a good grade :)

Reflection on my Hummanities Project

I have downloaded my Humanites Project on Saudi Arabia onto my wikispace, because i thought it would be useful to let people learn more about Saudi Arabia, exacltly like i did, and so that they could also see what we were studying the last thing in Humanities. The Humanities Essay was a succes, because i did good on it, and i learned many things abut Saudi Arabia, such as their Government, their Educatin System, and last Saudi Arabia's History.

This project(Essay) was very useful to me, and i hope it is to others. This project took us 2 months to finish, and we had to search on the enternet, and we used PowerPoint to do our Slideshows, and it was very helpful, because it organized most of our work from slide to slide. For me PowerPoint is one of te best programes on a computer.

Working on this Project wasnt hard excpet the part were we had to get information for 10 diffrent topics about our countries, but in general i thought it was very helpful and easy to finish. This is all i have to say about how well my Saudi Arabia project(Essay) went.
